2026 Fall MAACA New Executive Director Orientation
hosted by the Minnesota Community Action Partnership (MinnCAP)
Invest in Your Leadership Journey
Every Executive Director remembers the first year—learning the complexities of Community Action, navigating new challenges, and realizing there is no substitute for advice from those who have already walked the path. MACAA's New Executive Director Orientation (SSEAL) is designed specifically for newer Community Action and State Association Executive Directors across Region V, providing practical insights, real-world lessons, and lasting professional relationships that will support leaders throughout their careers.
This session's featured presenter, Toby Berry, CCAP, brings more than 26 years of Community Action experience, including over a decade as CEO of Community Action Agency in Michigan. Known for her practical leadership style and deep expertise in organizational leadership, community development, and Head Start, Toby will share honest lessons learned, leadership strategies, and real-life experiences that new Executive Directors can immediately apply in their own agencies.
